Role Overview:
The Community Manager will be responsible for leading community development and engagement for BetKing in Nigeria; within the Marketing team, to grow BetKing’s online share–of–voice and market share. You will be strategic and highly creative, working to build and grow online communities across multiple platforms. You will foster engagement, drive brand awareness leading to customer acquisition and retention, and create a strong connection with our users.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Own the development and hands-on engagement of online communities across new and existing channels and platforms.
- Develop strategies and campaigns to engage and retain existing BetKing communities as well as grow membership sustainably.
- Identifying key calendar moments, campaigns, conversations, and partnerships aligned with wider marketing team objectives to make an impact on business growth.
- Vet all marketing content distributed to community members.
- Tracking the growth, engagement, and performance of our Communities, as well as those of our competitors, communicating findings in a clear and actionable way to inform the wider marketing team.
- Support all marketing activities, including promotions, sponsorships, events and exhibitions where required.
- Conduct competitor analysis audits to understand how we differentiate our Community Management strategy to stand out.
- Build short and long-term plans for community engagement, and how we evolve our execution style with new technologies and platforms in the market.
What You Need for This Role:
- Proven experience in community management and social media growth.
- Strong understanding of online betting and sports betting communities.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, Nairaland, and other social media platforms.
- Experience in growing online communities and achieving follower targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a result-driven approach.
